Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
I grew up in Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL and Olathe, KS and knew from an early age that I was destined to be a veterinarian. That dream became a reality when I was accepted into the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine Early Admission Program during my first year of undergraduate studies. I later became a mentor for the program. I had the privilege of being class president in veterinary school and I graduated in 2014.
I’m inspired by watching good people do good things for animals and each other. I love veterinary medicine because it allows me to spend everyday working with animals and educating others to strengthen the human/animal bond. Some of my passions include parasitology, behavior, education and exotic animal medicine.
Outside of the hospital I enjoy watching various movies/TV shows, going to the beach or lake, travel, video games, playing instruments and collecting/building LEGO architecture.
If I could have one more pet it would be a new cat! I lost my cat Whiskers some time ago after 17 wonderful years.
My favorite quote is "Don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out of it alive." –Elbert Hubbard
