The use of an ultrasound machine can be crucial in quickly producing images in a more detailed manner than using X-ray. From intestinal blockages to pregnancy, the use of ultrasound has long been praised for being effective in diagnosing problems, as well as being painless. Pets generally do not need any sedation to be examined via ultrasound.

The ultrasound of a heart is called Echocardiography. It can quickly determine if your pet is suffering from a heart defect, or from congenital heart disease. Once we hear a heart murmur, the Echocardiography can help determine how severe the issue is, and thus determine the course of treatment.
