Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT
At Moorpark Veterinary Hospital, our Registered Veterinary Technicians are an essential part of our medical team. RVTs work closely with our veterinarians and support staff to provide skilled, compassionate nursing care while helping our hospital run safely and efficiently. As a multi-species practice, our team has the opportunity to work with dogs, cats, and a variety of exotic pets, making every day a little different.
What You’ll Do
As an RVT, responsibilities may include:
- Provide hands-on nursing care and patient monitoring
- Assist with anesthesia, surgery, and dental procedures
- Perform and assist with diagnostic testing
- Collect and process laboratory samples
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by a veterinarian
- Place IV catheters and perform venipunctures
- Obtain radiographs
- Monitor hospitalized and recovering patients
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Educate and communicate with clients regarding patient care
- Work closely with veterinarians, assistants, and fellow technicians
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-prepared treatment environment

We’re looking for a California Registered Veterinary Technician who is compassionate, dependable, and confident in their technical skills while still being excited to learn and grow.
The right person for our team communicates well, supports their coworkers, takes pride in patient care, and understands that great veterinary medicine is a team effort.
Previous veterinary experience is required for this position.
Experience with exotic pets is a plus, but a willingness to learn is just as important.
