Kennel Attendant
Kennel Attendants provide important behind-the-scenes support that helps keep our patients comfortable and our hospital clean, organized, and ready to provide care.
This is a hands-on role that can be a great introduction to working in a veterinary hospital and an opportunity to learn more about animal care and veterinary medicine.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities may include:
- Provide basic care and comfort for patients staying in the hospital
- Walk, feed, and monitor patients as directed
- Clean and prepare kennels and patient areas
- Wash bedding, dishes, and hospital laundry
- Clean and disinfect treatment and common areas
- Restock supplies throughout the hospital
- Assist with keeping workspaces organized
- Alert the medical team to changes or concerns involving a patient
- Safely handle dogs, cats, and other pets according to training
- Support the veterinary team with additional tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to know everything about veterinary medicine on day one. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, observant, comfortable around animals, and willing to learn.
Because cleanliness and patient comfort are such important parts of this position, attention to detail and taking pride in your work are especially important.
