National Veterinary Technician Week is October 14th-20th. We are proud to have two outstanding Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT) on our staff. RVTs are behind-the-scenes heroes. They are highly skilled in anesthesia induction and monitoring, radiology, pharmacology, dental procedures, and so much more.

It generally takes 2-3 years to complete schooling to become an RVT. Once schooling is complete, a state and national board examination must be passed to gain licensure. The closest school is Pierce College Veterinary Technology Program. For a full list of veterinary programs accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) click here.
